Sooo, this photo session was so exciting for me. I've been wanting to use a few of my grandmother's vintage pieces in a photo shoot for quite some time, but never made time to do it. My intent was to add a modern spin to my grandmother's refined threads dawwrrrling! One of my favorite moments with my grandmother were the times she would get such a kick out of me playing around in her clothes and fashion fair makeup. She had quite the collection of designer hats, bags and shoes and I absolutely loved playing in her things and prance around for her. Mrs. Dorothy Flowers, as she was affectionately called (yes, we called her by her entire name) will forever be my ultimate diva.
When the opportunity to work with Valerie presented itself, I decided to implement a few of her pieces. Valerie was a breeze to work with and she needed very minimal direction on "giving face!" She's quite the natural! Ayyyand, speaking of giving face, Ms. April did an excellent job on her makeup; wouldn't you agree? The look we pulled together worked out fabulous (in our opinion) and I can't wait to work with you gals again!
Here are a few favorites from the shoot! Enjoy!
